Becky, 25
“It really helps my mind by having a clean simple space to sleep and wake up to.”

Firstly, how have you been?
“I’ve been cool thanks, lots to be grateful for. <3”
Are you still in the same bedroom?
“Nah I’m actually back in my childhood bedroom, living with my parents in Dorset. It’s beautiful here.”
Looking back at your bedroom in 2017, what has changed?
“Hahaha, what hasn’t? I’ve learnt so many truths about myself and life since then. The lifestyle and values I live by now has given me a much grater sense of self.”

Can you paint us a picture of what life was like for you back then?
“Confusing, grey, blurry. I was just finishing uni at the time, so you can imagine life was stress. Reflecting on it now I defo had post-uni depression, which is pretty normal for students. Then went travelling for a year.”
What do you love about your bedroom?
“The energy, my crystals and the window sill.
I’ve cleared out pretty much everything from this room and moved it next door which I use as a studio. It really helps my mind by having a clean simple space to sleep and wake up to.”
What does your bedroom mean to you?
“Its my safe space. Especially since this is a room I grew up in as a child, it holds a lot of memories for me.”
How much time do you spend in your bedroom?
“Honestly, that really depends on the weather. And I travel to London quite a lot so half of my time spent is there.”
What's the most recent addition to your bedroom?
“I bought some new bamboo pillows to help me sleep, however they haven’t helped at all. Other than that I haven’t bought much in a while, as I like to keep this space clear.”
What inspired you to decorate your room this way?
“I did a 30 day liquid fast so I wanted to surround myself with a really positive light space.”
If you could change anything about your bedroom, what would it be?
“Get rid of the carpet, so much hair to Hoover all the time plus I dance a lot in this space so less carpet would help.”
In 4 years time, where do you want to be?
“In a place of my own, preferably somewhere hot. And in life, I just want to keep growing.”
